What kind of brain processes and representations give spoken language its structure and generativity?
The Gow Lab works at the intersection of neuroscience, psycholinguistics, linguistic theory and acoustic-phonetics to build tools to strengthen inference about cognitive processes and representations, and to use those tools to reshape our understanding of how the brain creates, maintains and generalizes constraints on the phonological structure of language.
